Built during the early 1890s, this Romanesque revival building features multiple levels, two towers and four ornate gargoyles on its roof. One of Dallas’ oldest structures, it is constructed of red sandstone from the Pecos region and gray granite shipped in from Arkansas. The museum takes patrons on a journey through the history of Dallas County from prehistoric time to present day through artifacts, photographs and hands-on exhibits.

The Reunion Tower is a 50-story, round structure that offers a terrific panoramic view of the Dallas region. The contemporary structure was built in 1978 and features glass elevators that transport guests to the top, where a revolving restaurant and bar are located. An observation floor referred to as the Lookout is also found at the top of the building.
